Podiatry

Podiatry is primarily concerned with the function of the foot (feet) and what influence and input they have with the injury. The assessment can, with the use of slow motion video, look at whole body movement which together with foot pressure analysis (how the foot loads onto the ground), gives a more accurate view of what the body is being put through, as many movements are just too quick to be seen with the naked eye.

Member of Society of Chiropodists/Podiatrists
SRCH State Registered Podiatrist

Chris graduated from University of Wales, Cardiff in 1994.

Working for local health authority as a musculoskeletal podiatrist, he has been in private practice for 10 years and treated all grades of patients and athletes including elite, professional up to Olympic level, for gait related injuries.

He has professional contacts with several local professional rugby & football clubs, and regularly sees players from these teams.

His area of special interest is the treatment of runners who land primarily on the forefoot. He is a great believer in a team approach to treating injury and as the team here encompasses most therapies, treatment can usually be kept in-house.
